As summer approaches, Big Bay Café at Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of its annual "King of Fruits Durian Feast" in early July! Big Bay Café elevates durian buffet to new heights as durian will be integrated into multinational cuisines for the first time, showcasing a variety of amazing durian-infused dishes in each kitchen area.

Guests can begin the durian feast with Thai-style Durian Green Mango Crab Salad. Fresh crab meat is combined with refreshing green mango and rich flavour of durian to awakens guests’ palate. The culinary journey continues with the Durian Curry Seafood Pot, where plump tiger prawns and mussels are simmered in an aromatic curry base infused with durian's richness to create a delightful balance of spiciness and sweetness. Slow-Grilled Pork Ribs are glazed with signature durian barbecue sauce to deliver caramelised succulence, with their smoky tenderness perfectly balanced by the sauce's sweet-savoury harmony. 

Following these savoury masterpieces, guests must not miss a collection of irresistible desserts made with seasonal durian. Indulge in the crisp golden shells of Durian Crispy Fried Milk, Durian Puff Pastry and Durian Sago Pudding. And continues with the decadent Durian Cream Puff, Durian Crème Brûlée, Durian Flan and Sticky Rice with Durian Coconut Sauce. Each creation transforms the king of fruits into a sweet finale, ensuring the evening concludes on an unforgettable note of tropical bliss.

Every adult enjoying the dinner buffet will receive a complimentary Durian Tasting Platter*, allowing you to enjoy three kinds of daily durian segments from Monday to Thursday, while savour four types of selected fresh durian pieces from Friday to Sunday. The composition of the Durian Tasting Platter may vary, subjected to daily supply.

The featured durian varieties include:

  • D197 Musang King – robust and aromatic
  • D24 Sultan King – delightfully sweet and creamy texture
  • D101 Mas – delicate sweetness and velvety
  • D13 Golden Bun – tender flesh with relatively intense sweetness
  • D175 Red Prawn – mellow meat, rich aroma, strong and sweet taste
  • D163 Hor Lor – thick flesh with bittersweet, chocolatey note

In addition to the dazzling array of durian delicacies, the buffet also continues to offer a variety of regular delicacies, including a selection of seared dishes such as Seared Salmon, Octopus, Hokkigai or Pickled Mackerel; assorted sushi and rolls, including classic Seared Salmon Sushi, Eel Sushi, Prawn Sushi, and innovative options like Mango Rolls or Avocado Crab Rolls; Seafood on Ice featuring Snow Crab, Mussels, Clams, and Prawns, with unlimited Lobster available on Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. In addition, the buffet also serves an array of Cold Cuts, Sirloin Steak, Indian Curries, and other sumptuous Hot Dishes to satisfy your appetite.
