Subway
Guangzhou has one of the extensive and modern subway networks in the country.
Shangri-La Guangzhou is a five-minute walk from Pazhou Station on Line 8. Along Line 8, there are convenient transfers to Line 3 at Kecun Station connecting with Central Business District, East Railway Station and Baiyun International Airport to the north and Panyu District to the south; to Line 2 at Changgang Station connecting with Guangzhou Railway Station and Baiyun International Airport to the north and Guangzhou South Railway Station to the south; and to Line 4 at Wanshengwei Station connecting with Higher Education Mega Centre.
Waterways
A new system of waterway transportation has been launched with routes covering riverside hotspots such as the Canton Tower, Sun Yat-Sen University, Xidi Dock and Changzhou Island.
Trains
Guangzhou East Railway Station is 30 minutes from the hotel by subway. It is a two-hour train ride from Guangzhou to Hung Hom Station in Hong Kong. Shuttle bus service between the hotel and Guangzhou East Railway Station is provided. Please enquire with hotel concierge team for the detailed schedule.
It is also easily accessible to Guangzhou Railway Station and Guangzhou South Railway Station by subway. Train travel options at Guangzhou Railway Station are available between Guangzhou and major cities in China. Bullet trains at Guangzhou South Railway Station provide convenient access to Changsha, Wuhan and nearby cities within considerably reduced time.
Taxis can be hailed at the hotel stands or on the street. In Guangzhou, flag fall is CNY12 (including fuel tax), and the rate is CNY2.6 per kilometre after the first 2.5 kilometres.
Taxis can also be hired for the day on a negotiated price.
