Discover the wonders of Yangon
Founded in 1952, the National Museum on Pyay Road is a purpose-built five-storey building set amid spacious, landscaped grounds. Ancient artworks, artefacts and historic memorabilia are shown in 14 halls. On the ground floor, displays trace the evolution of the Myanmar language, while the Lion Throne Room and Ratanapon Period pieces are not to be missed.
