The Nanshan Cultural Excursion Zone, 40 km west of Sanya, is one of the largest attractions of its kind in China. The Nanshan Buddhism Culture Park, which includes Nanshan Temple and the towering Nanhai Guanyin Buddha statue, offers visitors insight into traditional Chinese Buddhist culture.
