Public Transit
Buses
Nanjing’s inner-city bus system is extensive and economical. Tickets for majority of the routes cost RMB2. It is important to prepare sufficient change before boarding the bus.
Subway
The Nanjing Metro is inexpensive and convenient. There are two lines currently in operation. Shangri-La Nanjing has direct underground access to Metro Line 1, from entrance/exit 1.
Trains
Nanjing is an important railway hub in eastern China. There are two train stations in the city: Nanjing Railway Station and Nanjing South Railway Station.
Trains link Nanjing to the country, offering a reliable and scenic way of travelling within China. The city serves as junction for the Beijing-Shanghai, Nanjing-Tongling, Nanjing-Qidong and Hefei–Nanjing Railways.
