Mari Mari Cultural Village

KDCA

The cultural village is located at Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) Hongkod Koisaan, Penampang which is about 15 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu City. This cultural village is specially catered for the Kadazandusun tribes in Sabah and there are four (4) major Dusun tribes in Sabah in the village; Dusun Tindal Kota Belud, Dusun Papar, Rungus and Murut.

Sabah Museum

Built in 1985, the Museum complex is sited where the British North Borneo Governor’s Istana was once located. The Museum consists of the Main Building, Science and Education Centre and Heritage Village.

Inside are various Galleries housing of Natural History, Ceramics, Ethnography and Archaeology exhibits, among others.

The Heritage Village on the Museum grounds is where you can enter and experience different types of traditional houses of the various indigenous groups of Sabah. Cultural activities are held here from time to time.
