Trains
Trains offer an efficient, scenic way of travelling within China. Trains link the country with reliable service.
You may travel in one of four classes: Soft Seat or Soft Sleeper with air conditioning; and the Hard Seat or Hard Sleeper.
As the largest railway hub in southwest China, Chengdu Railway Station has trains to major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Urumqi and Xian.
A tourist express train serves neighbouring areas including Guangyuan City, Yibin City, and Panzhihua City.
Recently developed high-speed expressways from Chengdu to Chonqing and Leshan have made travelling between the cities much easier and quicker.
Buses
One of the popular bus route is bus No. 16, which runs from Chengdu's north train station to the south train station along Renmin Nan Road.
Regular buses cost RMB 1.
