Beijing Art Museum
The Beijing Art Museum is located in Wanshou Temple, an ancient monastery dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Established in 1987, it is a comprehensive art museum in the Beijing region. The museum houses more than 120,000 cultural relics allocated by the Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage, these collections span from prehistoric times to the Republic of China, with particularly extensive and remarkable holdings from the Ming and Qing periods. In 2019, the Wanshou Temple Historical and Cultural District became one of the exhibition areas of the Beijing Grand Canal Culture Zone. Like a pearl embedded along the Changhe River, it has once again regained its captivating brilliance.

Now, 798 Art Zone has become an important cultural and contemporary art center in Beijing, gathering famous art institutions, art studios and various art galleries in China and abroad. At present, Beijing 798 Art Zone acts as a bellwether of Chinese contemporary culture and art, and provides an important platform for cultural and art exchanges between China and foreign countries.
