Included in the two-person, customised Giant Panda Education Trip at the Panda Base is:
- A visit to the Panda Centre for behavioural observation, where you can learn about the diets of both captive and wild pandas.
- Insights from a professional teacher and observe the living habits of giant pandas and gain valuable knowledge.
- A tour of the bamboo forests donated by Shangri-La.
- Bamboo identification activities.
- A meal with the panda professor at the centre, where you get to share your experiences.

Depending on the conditions of health of the giant pandas, along with scientific research needs and protection, the activity will be adjusted accordingly and the specific schedule is subject to the final confirmation by the panda base.

The participants of the science research study mainly wear sports clothes and shoes. Panda science research fees include science research programme fees and a working lunch for participants on the day. Please inform the hotel staff of any food allergies in advance.

The number of participants is limited per day. After booking, please contact the hotel reservations desk at (028) 8409 7777 at least five days in advance to make an appointment for the "Giant Panda Education Trip" experience. Appointments should be made 15 days in advance during summer holidays and peak periods. Final reservations will be confirmed by the hotel’s reservations department.

If there are additional "Giant Panda Education Trip" experiences you would like to join, please book them in advance. The participation fee is RMB 600 per person.
