Famous for its white-powder beaches and crystal-blue waters, Boracay is a butterfly-shaped island 315 kilometres (195 miles) south of the Philippine capital, Manila.

Shangri-La Boracay is located on the hilly and verdant northwestern tip of the island. A balance of urban comforts and natural wonders, the island offers colourful shops and restaurants, a wide variety of beach activities and water sports as well as pristine beaches, scenic nature trails and diverse flora and fauna.

Bulabog Beach

For the thrill seeker, Bulabog Beach has much to offer and can be considered one of the memorable tourist attractions in Boracay. Located on the opposite side of White Beach, this locality is ideal and popular for many wind sports.

Windsurfing and kitesurfing prove to be the enjoyable, as the wind speeds provide excellent conditions during the early months of the year.

Butterfly Farm

For a change in scenery from the windswept beaches of Boracay, venture towards the Butterfly Farm that has over 20 species of exotic butterflies and 150 plant species. Opened to the public since April 2005, this fascinating tourist attraction in Boracay is an escape in to a world dedicated for butterflies.

The netted garden holds a treasure trove of over a hundred butterflies and the nursery adjoining the garden is where visitors can observe larvae and caterpillars. Educational and fun tours are also available to take you through the lush gardens, explaining the life cycle of a butterfly.

Crystal Cave, Buslugan Cave and Bat Cave

Located east of Barangay Yapak, the caves are home to many bats that fly over the resort in the late afternoon and are often visited by more adventurous beachgoers.

White Beach

Visit Boracay’s popular and sought after beach when you set foot on the mesmerizing shores of White Beach. The swaying palm trees and endless breeze brings promise of a magical holiday in one of Philippines tourist destinations. Stretching 4 kilometres on the western side of the island, the pristine powdery white sand is hard to resist.

White Beach has a generous sprinkling of entertainment and dining options. From water sports, bars, dive shops and restaurants, this beach caters to all fancies and desires. Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely boat ride through the coves and alcoves of the surrounding island.
