Public Health
Fiji is free from major tropical diseases that
are endemic to many tropical countries. It has an effective medical system in
place, although local people still believe in the efficacy of age-old herbal
remedies.
Fresh water at the resort has been treated and
is safe to drink from the tap. Bottled water is also available at the resort.
Dress
Bring along light clothing for summer months
and a sweater for the cooler months. Suits are appropriate for business
occasions. Shorts and t-shirts are frowned upon in government offices.
It is more respectable to wear modest dress in
towns and rural areas.
Weather
Fiji is tropically warm
year-around. Average temperatures range from 19°C at night to 29°C during the
day. The rainy season is from November to March.
