IST TOO Offers an Opulent Ottoman Iftar Buffet

Istanbul, 04 June 2015 – Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul invites guests to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan with the breathtaking views of the Bosphorus in the spiritual atmosphere of IST TOO with a rich selection of traditional Turkish delicacies and  international cuisine to make it an unforgettable experience.
 
Since its opening, IST TOO has become the spot for flavour enthusiasts featuring a menu with outstanding samples of Turkish, Mediterranean and Southeast Asian cuisines while introducing new and innovative dishes.  During Ramadan, IST TOO will present a memorable feast time during Iftar through the legacy of Ottoman palace cuisine.
 
The Iftar buffet offers a rich variety of dishes, such as Oven-Bbaked Warm Pita Bread accompanied by a selection of mini cold starters, Çiğ Köfte - seasoned raw meatballs, Baba Ghanoush and Muhammara, to help guests break their fast.  Meanwhile, stuffed wine leaves, artichokes, chard and other olive oil dishes become a healthy option for cold starters and such dishes as Kibbeh, Puff Pastries and Stuffed Dry Eggplants become delicious hot starters for the evening meal.
 
The buffet features Lentil and Yoghurt Soup and showcases grilled meats, Döner Kebab, Ottoman-Style Quince and Cinnamon Stew, along with traditional Indonesian Chicken Curry and delectable samples from the international cuisine.

The most enjoyable part of the Ramadan meal has always been the desserts.  Aside from the exquisite desserts of the Turkish and Ottman cuisines, such as “Güllaç”, Baklava, Pistachio Burma, Künefe, Zerde, Pudding and Sherbet, guests may also enjoy the ice cream corner, profiteroles and fresh fruit options.
 
The Iftar buffet with live classical Turkish music at IST TOO is priced at 165TL per person, including VAT; children aged 0 to 6 years old are free of charge and those aged up to 12 years old get 50 per cent discount.
 
For those who would like to organize an Iftar dinner with their friends or colleagues, Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul’s experienced team has prepared three different banquet menus.  Starting at €50 per person, the five-course set menu featuring a traditional selection of mini cold starters and delicious delicacies may be served in the hotel’s spacious and elegant rooms.
