Shangri-La's Far Eastern, Tainan's convenient location puts the visitor within walking distance of the city's main railway and bus stations.
Tainan's domestic airport and Taiwan High Speed Railway (THSR) station are just a 15-minute and 25-minute drive away respectively. Kaohsiung International Airport is a 60 to 90-minute drive, depending on traffic conditions.
Public Transit
Bus
In the centre, the city bus is often the best transit option. The railway station is about a three-minute walk from the hotel.
The Tainan City Tourism and Recreational Bus includes two lines of service and operates on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays. These routes take the visitor directly to the main spots of historic interest, shopping areas and parks.
Shuttle
The hotel also runs a shuttle service to the Science Park.
Taxis
Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive. Flag fall is approximately USD 2.50 for the first kilometre and about USD 0.20 for each kilometre thereafter.
