Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most beautiful natural landscapes, Altitude draws on Australia’s distinct flavours and ingredients for inspiration as views of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge unfurl before you.
Altitude’s menu is created seasonally by Executive Sous Chef Michele Menegazzi and his team, with sustainability as its guiding star. Behind each, you’ll find at least one native Australian ingredient and an artisan passionate about their harvest.
Over the years, Head Sommelier Matt Herod has curated a list of Australian wines, a 500-strong library featuring small-scale, emerging producers to rare, iconic vintages.
The restaurant’s glass walled private dining room hovers above the city and is an ideal setting for intimate gatherings of up to 18 guests. The storied space also sets a romantic scene for inspired marriage proposals and celebrations.
For breakfast, guests dine lavishly with a buffet entrée and an à la carte main dish as Sydney Harbour glistens from the floor to ceiling windows.
In 2023, Altitude was recognised with three top industry awards, including Restaurant of the Year at the Australian Hotels Association National Awards for Excellence, Restaurant of the Year at the NSW Accommodation Awards for Excellence, and a 3 Glass Rating at Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards.
