Ferry
The State Transit Authority operates Ferries from Circular Quay to Manly, Darling Harbour, Eastern suburbs, North Shore and Taronga Zoo. River Cats also operate from Parramatta and Homebush Bay to Circular Quay.

Light Rail
Sydney's newest transport system travels from the city to Sydney's inner west including the Sydney Fish Markets, Darling Harbour and Star City.
Monorail
The Sydney Metro Monorail is one of the few elevated transport systems in the world that operates through the heart of a major city. Destinations include Darling Harbour, Chinatown, the central shopping and business districts, Pyrmont and Ultimo.
Buses
The State Government-owned State Transit Authority operates Sydney Buses and Newcastle Bus Services. Timetables are available by calling 131 500 or visiting http://www.131500.com.au/. Please note the majority of buses are pre-paid only; ticket stands are located in the main station areas.
There are also numerous private bus companies providing services throughout New South Wales. Tourist buses such as Sydney Explorer and Bondi Explorer operate hop on / hop off services with commentary and guidebooks.
