options for getting around Surabaya exist. These include taxis, public transit,
becak and ojek.
Taxis
One of the
easiest and most convenient ways of getting around Surabaya is to take a taxi.
Do not allow
informal agents on the street to arrange or find transportation for you, as
they will expect to be paid by both you and the driver.
When possible,
call for a cab beforehand or check with our hotel staff. They will be happy to
help you hire a driver.
Public Transit

These vehicles
are used on tours between the city and suburbs, and can seat up to 10
passengers per vehicle.
Fares are
metered, based on the distance travelled. To arrange a trip for your family or

Becak
A becak
is a tricycle pedalled by a driver who sits behind the passenger.
Becaks are mostly found in cities
and towns on Java and have been in existence for over four decades.
