Light Rail (Subway)
The Shenzhen Metro Line 1 starts at the Lohu customs
checkpoint and goes directly to the Windows of the World theme park.
Line 2 departs from the Huangguang checkpoint and goes
to Shaoniangong.
Trains depart every 8 minutes between 6.30am and 11pm.
Trains
An efficient and scenic way of travelling within
China, trains link most parts of the country with reliable services. Classes
include Soft Seat or Soft Sleeper with air-conditioning, and Hard Seat or Hard
Sleeper.
There are frequent high-speed trains between Hong Kong
(Hung Hom Station), Shenzhen and Guangzhou on a daily basis.
The Hong Kong MTR offers the fastest and most
convenient transport to Shenzhen from Hong Kong and operates between 6am to 12
midnight. Fares are approximately HKD 35
for normal class and HKD 70 for first class each way.
Buses
The Shenzhen bus system is extensive and inexpensive.
However, service may be irregular and buses are often crowded during peak
hours.
Regular service is available from Luoho bus station to
Chaozhou, Guangzhou, Human, Shantou and Xiamen.
