Cédric Maupoint found his vocation as a sommelier during his Baccalaureate internship at La Poularde. His mentors - Eric Beaumard, Enrico Bernardo and Thierry Hamon - presented to him the richness and diversity of the different wine-producing regions in France.
After an enriching experience at Laurent with Philippe Bourguignon, he joined the Four Seasons George V for its reopening. While Cédric Maupoint’s knowledge of French wines was by then extensive, he shared his desire to have an experience abroad with Enrico, who directed him to the Restaurant Enoteca Pincjiorri in Florence, Italy. There, he was rapidly promoted to the position of Sommelier, and for two years, discovered not only Italian wines, but also Spanish, German, American, Australian wines.
In 2009, he joined Shangri-La Hotel, Paris as Chef Sommelier.
