Explore Nanjing with ease

Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing, is a 10-minute drive from the Nanjing Railway Station and 45 minutes’ drive from Nanjing Lukou International Airport. The metro station and picturesque Xuanwu Lake are walking distance from the hotel.

Taxis

Taxis are generally safe and affordable throughout the city.

Please note that taxis are metred, with fares starting at RMB11 for the first three kilometres. Therefore, it is not necessary to negotiate fares with the drivers before your journey.

Public Transit

Buses

Nanjing’s inner-city bus system is extensive and economical. Tickets for most routes cost RMB2. It is best to prepare sufficient change before boarding the bus.

Subway

The Nanjing Metro is inexpensive and convenient. There are two lines currently in operation. Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing has direct underground access to Metro Line 1, from entrance/exit 1.

Trains

Nanjing is an important railway hub in eastern China. There are two train stations in the city: Nanjing Railway Station and Nanjing South Railway Station.

Trains link Nanjing to most parts of the country, offering a reliable and scenic way of travelling within China. The city serves as junction for the Beijing-Shanghai, Nanjing-Tongling, Nanjing-Qidong and Hefei–Nanjing Railways.

 

By Car

Getting around the city with a car and driver is a safe and comfortable option.
