Please note that taxis are metered, with fares starting at RMB 8 for the first two kilometres. Therefore, it is not necessary to negotiate fares with the drivers before your journey.
Nanchang’s inner-city bus system is extensive and economical. Tickets for most routes cost RMB 1. It is best to prepare sufficient change before boarding the bus.
It costs RMB 15 to travel by bus from the airport to the hotel.
The Nanchang Metro System is under construction. Two lines will be built at the end of 2015. Qiushui Square Metro Station with connections to Line 1 is within walking distance from the hotel.
Nanchang is an important rail hub for Southeastern China. The Beijing–Kowloon (Jingjiu) Railway, Shanghai–Kunming (Hukun) Railway (formerly Zhejiang–Jiangxi or Zhegan Railway), Xiangtang–Putian Railway and Nanchang–Jiujiang Intercity Railway converge in Nanchang. Nanchang's Bureau of Railways operates much of the railway network in Jiangxi and the neighbouring Fujian Province.
The Nanchang Railway Station and the Nanchang West Railway Stations are the primary passenger rail stations of the city. Nanchang is connected to Hangzhou, Changsha and Shanghai via CRH (China Railway High-speed) service.
