Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Sultanate of Oman, offers guests the chance to participate in a variety of sea sports to capitalise on the resort's location by the Sea of Oman. Dolphin watching and snorkelling trips are offered daily. Both novice and experienced divers can benefit from the dive excursions and scuba diving courses.
Scuba Diving & Snorkeling
Boat trips depart from the dive centre's own jetty. Courses start in the shallow pool and later move to the different dive sites around the Bandar Khayran area.

Two-hour snorkelling trips are conducted every day.
Scuba Diving Trips
One-dive and two-dive trips are available for certified divers.
Introduction dives are conducted twice a week in the swimming pool for curious and inexperienced divers. An introduction dive in the sea is also available upon request.
Various courses that offer internationally acknowledged certifications are available. Upon request, the schedules of these courses can be customised to meet guests' needs. The 'Scuba Diver' course takes only two days to complete.
Advanced and specialty courses, such as ones dealing with diving around wreckage, underwater digital photography and many other topics, are available upon request.
Kids from 8 to 10 years old are invited to explore the ocean during this activity, which is available upon request.
Marina & Sailing
The resort's private marina features berthing for up to 80 boats and yachts and is the ideal base from which to explore the Omani coast. The marina is anchored with powerful sea-flex shock absorbers and boasts 58 full-service berths for yachts that are up to 25 metres long with a maximum draught of 5 metres.
