Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Sultanate of Oman, offers guests a number of transportation possibilities.
Taxis
A fleet of resident taxis is available solely for resort guests. When outside the resort, taxis can be hailed from the street in Muscat, or from taxi ranks.
Except for some airport pickups, meters are not commonly used in Oman. The fare should be agreed to beforehand.
Resort Shuttle
The resort provides a free shuttle service to and from the historic and shopping areas of Muscat. We recommend reserving seats one day in advance of the shuttle departure time you would like.
Car Rental
Cars can be hired with a driver or can be rented to drive yourself. Drivers need to hold an International driving license.

Marina
The resort marina is for the exclusive use of our guests, and includes a heli-platform for private helicopter landings and takeoffs. Note that separate entry requirements may apply for guests who arrive in Oman by sea.
