Key Quote

“Origin Grill offers selected exclusive wagyu options: the 500-day Japanese diet-fed Shiro Wagyu, Marble 9; and snow-aged full blood wagyu beef A4 from Niigata, Japan. For the latter wagyu, its ageing process requires a consistent internal temperature between zero and five deg C - in a state called seichi - which causes the meat to keep more than 90% humidity, thus retaining its freshness.” - The Straits Times

Origin Bar

Complementing its interior design that celebrates train travel, the concept at Origin Bar centres around a journey of discovery of the 5 key districts of Singapore, the hotel’s hometown: Orchard Road, Chinatown, Little India, Boat Quay and Marina Bay. Inspired cocktails are hand-crafted by a team of young mixologists with a fierce passion for what they do.

For instance, the cocktail inspired by Orchard Road traces its history as a plantation and, more importantly, references the original home of the Shangri-La brand. Expect a medley of fruits, flowers and spices in the bouquet of your glass. The streets of Chinatown have motivated the team to create a beverage using traditional Chinese medicine ingredients and balancing Yin with Yang, all in a nod to the influence of Chinese culture on the country.

Sip on a glass of cocktail, or 2, as you sway to the weekend live performances, every Friday and Saturday, by  powerhouse vocalists to set the mood for a refreshing weekend. Enjoy a complimentary serving of sliders from 5:30 pm till 7:00 pm daily.
