Located on the first floor, with its entrance through the library lounge, Kushi overlooks the beautiful lagoon and Ilot Mangénie.

Kushi is a specialised Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar manned by a master sushi chef, as well as shabu shabu and signature kobe and wagyu beef menus, which are all accompanied by a wide variety of sake and cocktails. You can also enjoy a unique yakiniku experience that includes a built-in grill at each table, and a traditional Omakase set menu offering chef ’s specials that change daily depending on fresh fish arrivals.

You will be transported to the Far East with the restaurant's red, sensual Geisha-inspired design, including an impressive centrepiece made of hundreds of kushi combs.

For guests who want more privacy, an intimate room for private parties is also available. It is the only air-conditioned outlet at the resort. The convivial nature of the restaurant is best suited for celebrations, making it a popular dining spot for lunch and dinner.

Le Bazar

This dynamic venue features a large variety of dishes and ingredients. Its show kitchen and market place atmosphere invites guests to interact with our Chefs and enjoy an incomparable level of service.

The first of its kind in Mauritius, Le Bazar is a very cosy and innovative venue, exuding a stylish yet casual atmosphere with bistro-style chalkboard menus and comfortable surroundings.

Le Bazar encompasses world cuisine with a Szechuan Master Chef, a dim-sum selection and noodle bar, a rotisserie from which a variety of marinated and dry-rub meats are displayed on a nightly basis, a western corner with meat and seafood grilled specialties, a signature burger and a fish and chips station.

You can enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace or sample a concoction from the unique juice and herbs bar, which serves up smoothies, cold-pressed juices, pressed sugar cane and infusions.

At Le Bazar, when accompanied by a paying adult, up to 2 children, under age 6, of registered guests can enjoy buffet meals at no additional charge. Children between the ages of 6 and 12, as well as additional children under age 6 will receive a 50% discount on the buffet price. Children, under age 12, of non-registered guests will receive a 50% discount on buffet meals at Le Bazar.

Sega Bar

Sega, named after the Mauritian dance, is a rum and Tiki bar that offers Mauritian-inspired beverages, a unique smoked cocktail menu, exotic Tiki concoctions and a signature “Shangri-La Rum Oak”, an eight-year-old rum that can be personalised to your taste. Sega Bar represents the centrepiece of entertainment for the resort with a specially designed over-the-pool stage that showcases cultural shows featuring the most exciting local talents, reggae and seggae music, as well as a live jazz and blues band nightly.

It is a fashionable outdoor lounge terrace and the ideal hotspot for afternoon and night-time drinks. The innovative beverage menu creates an experience of its own by providing the widest range of local rums. 

Our rum sommelier can give you a unique insight into local rums. A minimum of 10 infused rums are blended and mixed to create expert concoctions.
