Japanese Master Chef Kiyoshi Ogawa
Japanese Master Chef Kiyoshi Ogawa’s culinary career spans 30 years, beginning in Tokyo,
Japan, where he was exposed to the rudiments of the izakaya (Japanese grill)
kitchen in the family restaurant.
Although Japanese Master Chef
Kiyoshi earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, he returned to
his first love, by working in several freestanding restaurants in the Japanese
capital. There, he was exposed to the spectrum of Japanese cuisine:
traditional, kaiseki, sushi, robatayaki, and fusion Japanese-European.
In the course of
his culinary journey, Japanese
Master Chef Kiyoshi has applied his extensive knowledge of Japanese
cuisine in different cities and countries. He has worked in Manila, London,
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Bora-Bora island, Tahiti, where he met Jean-Georges,
the chef-owner behind two-star Michelin restaurants in New York and Shanghai,
among other celebrities.
