Over the last 3 years Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has partnered with the Down Syndrome Association which plays an important role as a weekday day care centre hosting support group meetings for families living with DS individuals. A host of weekly activities are implemented to involve the children and their families including Early Intervention Program (EIP) and Post EIP - EIP is a support system for children with developmental disabilities or delays and their families.

The hotel supports the Down Syndrome Association through regular visitation by colleagues and interactive activities aimed at stimulating the children’s learning and development. The hotel is also committed towards offering those from the Association permanent employment within the hotel. Today people with disabilities make up 1.9% of the hotel’s total work force.
