Restaurant Petrus Presents Titanic Dinner

On 14 April 2018, Restaurant Petrus at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong will recreate the extravagant dinner that was once served on the exact night 106 years ago on the eminent Olympic-class ocean liner Titanic.  The 10-course meal will also be matched with some of the great wines from the early 20th century.

Titanic has always been known for its opulence, and the shipping company White Star Line spared no expense in creating what was a large and luxurious cruise ship at the time.  The first-class accommodation was the pinnacle of comfort and luxury for a line cruiser, and the extravagant meals served were no exception.  For one night only, Restaurant Petrus will transport diners back in time to experience the unique gastronomic journey with a dinner menu that was last served on this iconic cruise ship.

The stupendous 10-course menu will be manifested by Chef de Cuisine Ricardo Chaneton with a slightly modern interpretation of the dishes, which include Fillet Mignon Lili, Roast Guinea Fowl, Lamb with Mint Sauce, Cold Asparagus with Saffron Vinegar and Waldorf Pudding.  Moreover, for a truly classy experience, Master Sommelier Yohann Jousselin has hand-picked some of the great vintages from the early 20th century to elevate the dinner to another level.  The menu is priced at HK$2,388 per person and HK$25,888 per person with wines (seats are limited).  Please find appendix I for the detailed menu.
