Imagine birdwatching in Hong Kong's Tai Po Kau Forest. The timber treehouse bunk bed, suspended in the trees, has an exhilarating slide and a bird’s-eye view of the forest below. The mural and rug depict the beauty of the forest, and there are countless activities from dressing up as an explorer to a bird panel which plays the calls of the grey-backed thrush, owl, sparrow, oriental magpie, and spotted dove.
At night, a torch reveals hidden plants and animals on the mural - from boars and owls to monkeys and fireflies. A secret animal den waits to be discovered, along with a treasure trove of toys. Learning and discovery go hand in hand, connecting children to nature and encouraging their dreams.

Arrangement for Hong Kong Regulation of Disposable Plastic Tableware and Other Plastic Products
The first phase of the regulation of disposable plastic tableware and other plastic products used in hotel guest rooms is implemented starting from 22 April 2024. Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong wholeheartedly supports the new regulations and is progressively replacing single-use plastic toiletries and personal care products with plastic-free or refillable alternatives. Additionally, we kindly encourage all guests to bring their own essential items to support the "plastic-free" movement.
