A Maritime Heritage inspired Haven
A child-friendly haven inspired by Hong Kong's maritime heritage. There is a single deck bed like the ones on a traditional junk, and a rope walkway leading to the observation hut and slide. The lighting simulates the warm glow of kerosene lanterns, the rocking chair is sampan-shaped, and the boat’s wheel turns. Anchors, buoys, and shells add an authentic immersive touch, encouraging young minds to engage and investigate.
Starfish cushions and maritime rugs add playfulness to the elegant, sophisticated parents' side of the guestroom, and at night when youthful travellers rest, bedside panels drop to create an undisturbed darkened place for them to sleep while their parents enjoy an evening in their own part of the room.

Arrangement for Hong Kong Regulation of Disposable Plastic Tableware and Other Plastic Products
The first phase of the regulation of disposable plastic tableware and other plastic products used in hotel guest rooms is implemented starting from 22 April 2024. Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong wholeheartedly supports the new regulations and is progressively replacing single-use plastic toiletries and personal care products with plastic-free or refillable alternatives. Additionally, we kindly encourage all guests to bring their own essential items to support the "plastic-free" movement.
