Kota Kinabalu, SABAH, 18 April 2019 – Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu’s Service Leader – Marina Siti Norhayati Binti Sellihimor (far left) watches and encourages as one of her charges decorates a cookie at the Cocoa Kingdom at Tanjung Aru recently.

Siti and 30 of her colleagues volunteered two hours of their time to take care of several children from the resort’s adopted school Bantayan Inanam Primary School and Sabah Cheshire Home at the local tourist attraction, Cocoa Kingdom, where the children learnt about the cocoa plantations in eastern Sabah and the process of making chocolate snacks that the children love.

The resort’s CSR service leader, Ms. Joyce Murang, thanked Cocoa Kingdom Director Mr. Siaw Ten Hon for sponsoring the cookie-decorating session and chocolate door gifts for the children, teachers and volunteers.

The resort also gave the children, teachers and volunteers packed lunches before sending them back to their respective schools.
