Christopher Chai
Leading the culinary team at JIA is Executive Chinese Chef Christopher Chai. Previously, in 2008, he served at Shangri La Hotel, Jakarta, as the Chinese banquet chef. Then, in 2012, he left Jakarta to work at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila, for two years. He returned to Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta in 2014, with enhanced culinary skills that allowed him to lead the Chinese kitchen team as the executive Chinese chef. Chef Chai has accumulated a wealth of experience in Chinese cuisine over almost two decades. He aims to serve the best Chinese cuisine, preparing scrumptious dishes that draw inspiration from traditional recipes with an added modern twist.
