Western District was one of the first trading areas to develop in Hong Kong following the British arrival. It has since retained many traditions, giving visitors a taste of Old Hong Kong. The area is home to many specialty shops not seen elsewhere in the territory.
Old Chinese furniture, antiques of all kinds, Chinese painting and calligraphy supplies, Chinese incense, and much more can be found throughout this traditional neighbourhood.
