Trapeze

The thrills of our 7-metre-high trapeze is a must-try when at the resort. Our in-house expert trapeze artist will teach first-timers the necessary tips, whilst our more daring guests can try a trick or two.

Archery

Have a crack at using a bow and arrow and hone your skills of precision targeting as you practice Archery with our trainers.

Bike Tours

Hambantota with its unique terrain offers amazingly scenic routes for guided bike tours that let you experience the true beauty of the south coast.

A guided tour to Godawaya lets you ride along the resort’s dramatic coastline, concluding with a scenic hike through extraordinary rock formations from where you can watch a mesmerising sunset over the Indian Ocean. A picnic can be served as part of the resort’s Dine by Design programme.

The guided Paddy Field tour takes you through quaint villages that seemingly blend into miles of picturesque paddy fields. Your tour guide will share interesting facts about rice cultivation in the south of Sri Lanka, and if you are lucky, you will be able to strike up a conversation with a local farmer for more interesting snippets

Experiences:

River Boat Safari down the Walawe River

Take a short yet enchanting Tuk Tuk ride from the resort to the mangrove-filled Walawe River. As the sun sets, you can watch tropical birds, langur monkeys, peacocks and more, along the river bank as our local guide offers interesting insights. (Maximum 6 persons per boat)

 

Whale watching from the Dondra Harbour

Boasting the largest blue whale aggregations in the world, whale-watching at Dondra Harbour is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Often spotted are many species of whales and dolphins too.

 

Sunset at Godawaya

Starting with a beach stroll or bike ride along the resort’s dramatic coastline and concluding with a scenic hike through extraordinary rock formations to Godawaya, you can watch a mesmerising sunset over the Indian Ocean. A sunset picnic can be served as part of the resort’s Dine by Design programme.

 

Visit to the Virgin White Tea Factory

With its colourful history, the Virgin White Tea Factory produces the only white tea completely untouched by human hands. Guests of the resort are offered an exclusive invitation to a private tour with the owner of the plantation, summed up with a delightful tea tasting.

National Parks:

Udawalawe Park

With one of Asia’s highest density of elephants within its area, Udawalawe National park surpasses all other parks in Sri Lanka for sighting of elephants, whilst the reservoir is a stunning stop at sunset.

 

Elephant Transit Home

The Elephant Transit Home is located within the Udawalawe National Park and its primary objective is to rehabilitate orphaned elephant calves to eventually release them back into the wild. Feeding time can be viewed from a raised platform.

 

Bundala National Park

One of the most scenic parks in Sri Lanka, Bundala is located in the dry zone with shrubbery that stretches out to the coastline beyond. Bundala is important for migratory birds, with sightings of crocodile, deer, monkey and more.

 

Yala National Park

Yala National Park has the world’s highest density of leopards and frequent elephant sightings too. The beautiful Sithulpahuwa Rock Temple of Yala has a history of over 2,000 years and once housed thousands of monks.

 

Lunugamvehera National Park

The Lunugamvehara National Park is a habitat for elephant migration and water birds. The park is also home to sloth bear, spotted deer, fishing cat and more. The Lunugamvehara reservoir is spectacularly beautiful at sunset.

 

Other excursions:

Mulkirigala Temple

On the towering rock of Mulkirigala are seven ancient cave temples amidst serene environs. Seeing the beautiful large reclined Buddha statues and paintings depicting Buddhist mythology are a rewarding experience.

 

Katharagama

A popular pilgrimage destination, Kataragama is a multi-religious sacred city. The main shrine dates back to 2nd century BC and is devoted to the Hindu god, Skanda. Many vibrant rituals are held every morning and evening.

 

Hummanaya

The Hummanaya blowhole in Kudawella is a rare geological formation of nature where a crack in the rocks causes the water pressure of waves to blow out in a forceful fountain through the cliff and high into the air.

 

Galle Tour

The seaside city of Galle dates back to the sixteenth century and stood accumulating its rich culture through the colonial periods of the Portuguese, Dutch and British. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Galle is a treasure trove with a stunning Fort, illustrious period buildings, museums and more.

Our three swimming pools offer you something for your every mood.

The expansive Lagoon pool is set alongside the resort’s main restaurant and is the perfect place to loll around as you enjoy poolside service for light eats and refreshing tropical cocktails from the Pool Bar. The Lagoon pool also connects to the Kids pool and allows for fun for the entire family.

The Sunset Pool offers spectacular views of the magnificent Indian Ocean and gardens around. To better enjoy the serenity here, this pool is exclusively for adults.

The Kid’s Pool connected to the Lagoon Pool is designed for our very own little guests allowing them to swoosh through the wading pool with winding slides and more.
