Dubai Museum and Al Fahidi Fort
Al Fahidi Fort was built around 1799,
and has served in its time as a palace, garrison and prison. It is believed to
be the oldest majestic architectural work in Dubai.
Originally created to defend Dubai
against attacks from the sea, it is a colourful and evocative destination.
Life-size figures and audiovisual effects vividly depict everyday life in the
days before oil discovery changed the landscape of the country.
