Visitors can travel around Dubai via taxis, public transport and abras.
If you would like to hire a car during your stay in Dubai, we are happy to make the necessary arrangements. The Dubai Financial Centre Mass Transit Railway (MTR) station is within walking distance from the hotel.
Dubai has a large, modern fleet of metered taxis. The starting fare is AED 3 plus a per km charge. Drivers rarely carry much change and it is recommended that you carry AED 10 and AED 5 notes with you.
Local buses operate from stations in Deira and Bur Dubai. Fares are anywhere from between AED 1 and AED 3.50, depending on your destination. You will be paying the driver directly so do carry plenty of change.
Information on timetables is available from the 24-hour Dubai Municipality hotline 800 4848, or by calling the hotel desk.
Small motorboats called abras are the ideal way to cross Dubai Creek from early morning to late night.
There are two routes. One links Bur Dubai with the Deira Old Souk and the other links the Old Souk with Sabkha on the Deira side. The fare is AED 50.
