Shangri-La
Hotel, Dalian, is an excellent hub from which guests can experience the city
and surrounding environs.
Dalian’s
central district is not large and can generally be covered on foot. Otherwise,
private cars, taxis and light rail are convenient ways to experience journeys
beyond the city.
Taxis
Taxis in Dalian are cheap, plentiful and always on the
lookout for customers. Most taxis are metered, with fares starting at RMB 8
(USD 1)
Public Transport
Trains
SM Trains offer a reliable, efficient and scenic way of
travelling within China. You may travel in one of four classes: Soft Seat or
Soft Sleeper with air-condition; and the Hard Seat or Hard Sleeper.
Please
note that the Dalian train station is notoriously overcrowded. For easy and
worry-free trips, we recommend you speak with our hotel service staff.
Buses
There
are regular buses to Dandong and a daily express bus to Beijing, the journey to
which takes 9 hours. Please enquire with the hotel staff on bus ticketing and
details of transport.
Car Hire
Getting
around the city in a car and a driver is always a safe and comfortable
