On 2 June 2014, Shangri-La Hotel, Baotou will present the largely motivational children’s drama, The Ugly Duckling and the Duck Egg Superman,at the Grand Ballroom. Guests can enjoy the interesting performance and an international buffet to celebrate both the Children’s Day and traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival.
Performed by Beijing Children’s Art Theatre, the drama is revised from the classic fairytale, The Ugly Duckling. It teaches children to be brave, confident and grateful. Featuring modern elements, it has a complicated plot and magic stage with many interaction sections.
To celebrate Children’s Day and the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, the hotel chef team will prepare a rich international buffet lunch for guests and snacks for kids. Every child will get a small gift from the hotel.
The hotel invites the children from Baotou Children’s Welfare Institution to enjoy the drama and the lunch. Parts of the proceeds from the sale of drama tickets will be donated to Baotou Children’s Welfare Institution. Guests who buy two adult tickets can get one complimentary children’s ticket.
