Trapizza Unveils A New Look On Siloso Beach

Singapore, 31 May 2018 – Trapizza, a casual Italian eatery located on Siloso Beach just a five-minute walk from Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, reopens on 11 May 2018 after a six-month transformation. The revamped outlet presents a revitalised dining experience for diners of all ages with a bigger dining and activity space as well as a bolder menu.

Revitalised Dining Experience 

Well-loved by families, island visitors and resort guests for more than a decade for its hearty, authentic Italian fare and relaxing seaside vibes, Trapizza underwent a six-month transformation and reopened its doors with a new look, inspired by architecture in Palm Springs, with cacti landscaping, palm trees and statement furniture creating a rustic, laid-back atmosphere.

Diners can enjoy the cooling sea breeze and a panoramic view of Siloso Beach from the main dining area under a canopy, outdoor seating on the sand or from the bar counter in the 214-seat dining outlet. Trapizza now has a fully air-conditioned private dining room which accommodates 16 guests, a cosy option for intimate, private gatherings.

An eye-catching kombi houses the eatery’s new Grab n’ Go concept. Ready-to-go items, including gelato, beverages, desserts, salads and panini are available for takeaway, suitable for beach-goers who want a quick bite.

Young diners will be entertained by a new water play area, a colouring corner and a play zone with a kitchenette playset, bringing interactive and fun elements to their dining experience in the family-oriented eatery.

Refreshed and Reasonably Priced Menu 

Long-time fans of Trapizza can look forward to indulging in favourites including its wood-fired, thin crust pizzas, authentic pastas and desserts. Exciting additions to the menu include highlights such as Foie Gras Orecchiette, Truffle Pappardelle, Wagyu Beef Burger, Crispy Fried Veal Milanese and Calzone.

The enhanced menu introduces creative reinterpretations of classic cocktails, including Pizzatinis, incorporating savoury pizza flavours and toppings into martinis, Bloody Mary with Skewers, with vegetarian or meat options, Cake on a Shake, featuring slices of cake on milkshakes and other mouthwatering beverages.

Refined Tastes 

Italian native Chef Alessandro Delle Cave helms the Trapizza kitchen, bringing authentic flavours of Italy to the table. Chef Alessandro grew up in the city of Turin, famous for her architecture and cuisine and sharpened his knives in various Italian establishments in Italy, Sydney and Singapore.

Chef Alessandro imports premium ingredients from Italy, as his cooking philosophy stems from the belief in using authentic and fresh ingredients to create the right flavours. With pasta and risotto as his specialty, he has elevated the flavours of signature items and conceptualised new dishes reminiscent of those from his hometown in Northern Italy, including Lamb Ravioli, Arancine alla Bolognese and more.
