Chinese custom, when a baby turns one month old, a
ceremony is held to celebrate his/her first full month of life in which the
Chinese term translates as “full moon”. And the full moon celebration was a
joyous occasion to officially show off mother and baby to the world at large
and mark the beginning of the child’s life in the community. Moreover, parenting
is an important and difficult job for which people will ever apply. It is
a process of promoting and supporting the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood. Shangri-la Hotel Ningbo together with Mr. Party, Think Share and GDT Filming
themed the first baby show as Welcome
Baby to encourage guests to consider who they will raise their children to
become and also presented the venues, ideas as well as professionalism that Shangri-La
can take care of guests’ every need and bring their angels an unforgettable
moment in each milestone of their life journey.
A wonderful and imaginative sensory celebration had
been all set for both the parents and their families in the eight-meter-tall enchanting
grand ballroom. Thanks to the professional event partner Mr. Party, the staircase at the lobby was adorned beautifully with
touches of blue and pink balloons, as well as a candy table filled with
customized sweet treats for the guests. Once stepped into the foyer at the second
level, guests were very much surprised by a “Time Tunnel” with numerous
balloons fallen from an exquisite gift box and filled the whole aisle. And the
extensive and lavish setups inside of the ballroom featured a marvellous
central carousel, a huge angel wings backdrop and fairytale hot balloon, which transformed
the grand ballroom into a breathtaking and celebratory wonderland.
The baby show was started by asking each parent-to-be
to write down their wishes to their upcoming babies on a post card, then hung
the card by themselves on the wall of the Time Tunnel. All the cards will be
delivered to their babies by a “snail mail” when they are born for wishing them
happily-ever-after. Experienced hosting team Think Share kept guests entertained with warm and sweet stories
throughout the show. Three meaningful videos produced by GDT filming respectively
presented mother’s unconditional love for her child, a green hand father dealing
with his new born baby as well as a fun-filled street interview regarding the
topic of what you parents told you where you were from. As for the highlights
of the show, Think Share led guests
to experience symbolic rituals that would be carried out to ensure children’s
good health, happiness and success in life. Some of these traditions have been
passed down through the years and continue to be observed today such as
Grabbing Test, Passing the Seven Bridge.
Aside from the opportunity to experience hilarious
performances, guests were also invited to the SKYLINE Rooftop Bar located at
35th–floor of the hotel after the show. With its panoramic three river confluence
view as the backdrop, this is the picture spot to hold any lifetime
celebrations. Besides, celebrate the new addition to the family, Shangri-La
Hotel Ningbo has launched a selection of enchanting packages. Whether guests
dream of their wonderful baby full moon ceremony as a traditional Chinese
banquet in the luxurious surrounds of a ballroom or an intimate party at
SKYLINE Rooftop Bar or at hideaway garden in the heart of the city, Shangri-La’s

with the customized menus and impeccable services.
