To usher the onset of summer, Traders Upper East Hotel, Beijing has created a special “Artistic Escape” package for guests who are interested in the capital city’s renowned artistic offerings. Starting from Rmb1,280 per night for a minimum of two consecutive nights, the new package includes comfortable accommodation in a Superior Room, a set menu dinner for two at Wu Li Xiang Chinese restaurant with a bottle of wine, and return transportation to the famous 798 Art District.
To celebrate the occasion, the hotel will present to the public a range of prominent local artworks in the gallery and the Lobby Lounge arts exhibition area. From 15 April 2012 until 14 April 2013, the showcase will feature the works of outstanding artists such as Shi Jian Du, oil painter Lin Qian, Hu Chang Ying, sculptor Xiao Li and calligrapher Guo Bao Qing. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a range of interactive activities in the Art Season from 18 May until 18 September 2012 and during the Art Salon, which is held at the end of every month. All these activities take place at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom or in the gallery. The artwork was curated by the Shangshanyahe Cultural and Art Centre, located on the second floor of the hotel.
“This introduction of this art exhibition and room package is quite timely,” says Raymond Teo, general manager. “Our hotel is centrally located within Beijing and guests have constantly asked us about going to the 798 District. We thought it would be a good idea to create a package where they can explore that wonderful area while at the same time, we can bring some of the art world into our own hotel space.”
The hotel is also taking the opportunity to present its new menu to guests interested in new style Cantonese dishes and healthy living. The new menu contains 15 gourmet categories including typical Cantonese Dishes like Barbecued and Marinated dishes, traditional Canton Soup, Live Seafood and Abalone. The new menu also includes local cuisines from Beijing, Sichuan, and Huaiyang, organic vegetarian dishes with seasonal ingredients, and exquisite desserts for ladies. Chef Kam leads his team creating brand new cooking method and focus on raising their cooking skills with a variety of cooking methods like stir-fry and sautéed in magnificent sauce to provide nutritious and yummy dishes.
