Mauritius,
8 January 2018: Shangri-La’s Le
Touessrok Resort & Spa, Mauritius is
delighted to announce its very first “Wellness Month” which will take place
from 1 February to 9 March 2018. The programme has been specifically designed
to kick-start the New Year in good shape and help guests regain equilibrium
following the festive season. With a specialist visiting yoga practitioner from
25 February until 9 March, the resort will offer guests an opportunity to
recuperate, enhancing both their mental and physical wellbeing, through an
in-depth wellness programme and a host of wellness inspired initiatives.
The wellness programme includes more
than 20 yoga sessions conducted by Aria Crescendo, an internationally acclaimed
yoga instructor, singer and DJ. Over the years, Aria built her reputation and
offered yoga courses to many Hollywood stars including Jared Leto, Ashton
Kutcher and Karlie Kloss. During her
stay at Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, Aria will lead Sunrise Yoga
sessions on Republik beach to help guests kick-start their day with a relaxed mind
and body. The sessions will incorporate mediation and encourage guests to
address any personal issues that they may be struggling with such as anxiety or
insomnia. Aria will also conduct invigorating classes at sunset aimed at those
seeking a more dynamic workout. The “Warrior Yoga” sessions will focus on
helping improve guests’ flexibility and strength, as well as boosting their
immune system and overall sense of wellbeing.
Aria Crescendo is passionate about
yoga and views the practice as a means to enjoy and maintain a healthy
lifestyle. Aria is a natural born entertainer and studied performing arts
before going on to perform with the legendary Crazy Horse dance troupe. Her
residency will highlight the traditional benefits of daily yoga practice,
whilst incorporating Aria’s inherent sense of entertainment and fun. In
additional to the yoga sessions, Aria will also be showcasing her artistic
talents with a series of musical acts for guests to enjoy in the evenings at
the resort’s glamorous bars.
The yoga courses can be combined with
aromatherapy treatments from CHI, The Spa, using Decléor’s premium range of
products, well known for its natural essential oils made of plant extracts that
arouse the senses. The firming rituals improve skin toning and body sculpting
by redefining the silhouette and targeting areas of concern, while the relaxing
massage rituals promote overall wellbeing, release stress and re-energise the
body.
For a holistic wellness approach, the
fitness and spa experiences will be complemented with healthy and tasty dishes
served across all the restaurants. The beach restaurant will also offer a
specially curated 3-course healthy menu for lunch and dinner. Together with
Aria, the resort’s chefs will synchronize their efforts to create menus
improving wellness for guests visiting during this period, ranging from low
carb, detox, low fat, antioxidant, organic, high fibre content, and bio to
gluten-free options. Dishes on offer will include gluten-free fresh pasta,
wheat cress pesto, tofu and tomatoes; steamed local fish with ginger and lime;
corn-fed chicken in crusted of Chia seeds and avocado and ginger gazpacho.
