Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Sultanate of Oman announces the appointment of Lori-Jean Collins as director of sales and marketing. Previously director of sales, Lori will now oversee a 40-strong team, including Sales, Communications and Marketing, Group and Events and Reservations, and ensure the resort’s sales and marketing goals are achieved. Reporting directly to hotel General Manager Mark Kirk, she will also continue to optimise third-party partnerships and joint-marketing initiatives.
Having been with the resort since 2011, Lori has been an instrumental figure to the sustained revenue growth of the three hotels – Al Waha, Al Bandar and Al Husn. Commenting on her promotion, Mark Kirk said: “Lori’s dedication to the resort, together with her tactical vision and industry expertise, make her an excellent Shangri-La ambassador. We look forward to supporting her continued success at driving strategic business and leading our sales and marketing team.”
