Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei presents new dishes with upgraded ingredients at Cafe at Far Eastern

“We like to welcome guests to an array of dishes; I work closely with my team to ensure every station offers a great variety of authentic dishes prepared with quality ingredients,” said Chef Beat.

In addition to the adored U.S. Roasted Beef available daily at the carving station, some of the new dishes now available on a rotation basis include Squid Ink Risotto with Deep-Fried Squid with Arrabiata Sauce, Red Wine Braised Beef Cheeks, Chicken and Duck Mousse Roll with Truffle Sauce, Slow-Cooked Duck Leg and Wild Berry Sauce, Japanese Style Teriyaki Beef Skewers, Roasted Rack of Lamb with Apple Curry Sauce, and Spanish Style Seafood Paella.

Chef Beat recommends the Indian station, where Indian resident Chef Shiv Singh Rawat presents Murg Basil Tikka, Tomato and Yogurt Flavored Fish, Lamb Korma, assorted flavored homemade naan breads, and more. 

The dessert bar features pastries and cakes made by the hotel’s award-winning pastry team.  Some must-try items include Sesame Green Tea Finacier, Pistachio Raspberry Lollipop, Ruby Peach Charlotte, Jivara Lemongrass Jelly, Summer Berry Trifle Glasses and Yuzu Mille Feuille.

As Taiwan’s first five-star hotel to be certified with the ISO22000, the hotel places great emphasis on ensuring the well-being of every customer.  All suppliers have been screened and selected by Hygiene Manager Penny Cheng and are required to hold certificates or documentations such as the ISO22000, HACCP, GMP or CAS.

Lunch and dinner at Café at Far Eastern are priced from NT$890 and NT$920 per person respectively; prices are subject to a 10 percent service charge.  Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei is located at 201 Tun Hwa South Road, Section 2, Taipei.
