ceremony held recently. The award winners
are voted by readers of Business Traveller China.

China World Hotel, Beijing
Strategically located in the heart of Beijing’s diplomatic and central
business district, China World Hotel, Beijing is known for its big meeting

China World Hotel, Beijing’s
conference hall just re-opened in August 2016 after a one-month refurbishment
programme which included 100,000 pieces gold leafs, 2,500
square metres of wallpaper, 4,000 liters of paint, 6,000 kilograms of wool, 250
square metres of fabric and 1,880 man hours.
The newly
refurbished conference hall is reminiscent of the hotel lobby, evoking the
grandeur of Imperial China, yet projecting a welcoming and gracious atmosphere.
The main hall can accommodate approximately 1,200 people in theatre-style seating
and adjacent to the main hall are three stylish function rooms for smaller
meetings and parties. With a dramatic
8-metre-high ceiling, the conference hall is a popular venue for conventions,
exhibitions and grand social celebrations.
The 810-square-metre Grand Ballroom without pillars and its adjoining foyer
can be divided into four smaller venues.
It can accommodate up to 600 people for theatre-style seating and offers 11 function rooms with a combined
space of 4,600 square metres.
In addition to the existing facilities, a newly renovated Horizon Club
Lounge opened in 2015. Spanning over
1,600 square metres, it offers a great venue for both business and
pleasure. Its 756-square-metre lounge
area, with seating for 126, includes a library and dining area. While the lounge provides ample space and
facilities for relaxing, a function area of roughly 500 square metres features six individual
meeting rooms suitable for groups of 6 to 16 and is suitable for business.
