Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong Celebrates Mother’s Day

Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong is offering guests a range of dining options and treats in celebration of Mother’s Day on 12 May 2013.  As Mother’s Day is the perfect time to show appreciation to mothers and pamper them for their years of love, the hotel has prepared special menus in its restaurants for the whole family to enjoy.

On 11 and 12 May 2013, Café Kool features Mother’s Day’s lunch and dinner buffet menus that include a host of family favourites and international fare.  Dishes include Chestnut and Truffle Cream Soup, Assorted French Cheese Platter, Roasted Capsicum Salad with Pan-Fried Fish, Seafood on Ice with unlimited servings of Lobster, Alaskan Crab Leg, Medium Prawn, Clam, Whelk, Mussel, Mantis Shrimp, Snow Crab and other crustaceans.  There is also Sushi and Sashimi, Indian and Malaysian delicacies, Japanese Seafood Teppanyaki, Beef Tenderloin with Goose Liver, Fried Rice with Seafood and Broccoli, Steamed Garoupa with Sweet Soya Sauce, Fried Kale with Coral Clam, Baked Vegetables in Filo and many more.  An array of desserts and Häagen-Dazs ice cream in twelve different flavours are also available.  For reservations, please call (852) 2733 8753.  Opening times and buffet prices are as follows:

Déli Kool’s pastry chef, Wins Hung, will add a sweet touch to the happy occasion with his special “Mama’s Favourite” cupcake creations to surprise the taste buds of every mother.  Each cupcake is adorned with a sugar carnation flower, white chocolate handbag or Belgium dark chocolate high heel, and comes in three different flavours, namely mango, raspberry and chocolate, respectively.  Each cupcake is priced at only HK$55.  Please call (852) 2733 8757 to place an order.

Angelini commands sweeping harbour views and offers guests a warm inviting ambience.  The restaurant presents a Mother’s Day semi-buffet lunch on 11 and 12 May 2013 for only HK$360 for adults and HK$320 for children.  Featuring an array of Italian appetisers and salads buffet-style, the semi-buffet lunch also offers a list of hearty main courses, including Homemade Ravioli filled with Burrata Cheese, Cherry Tomato and Basil, Linguine with Clams, Confit Tomato and Mullet Roe, Garganelli Pasta with Veal Shank Ragout, Cod Fish with Green Pea Purée and Cherry Tomato Foam, Slow Cooked Pork Belly with Garlic Purée and Mixed Vegetables, and Duck Breast with Truffle Mashed Potato and Natural Sauce.  Grilled Grain-Fed Rib Eye or Lamb Chop with Seasonal Vegetables and Linguine with Lobster are also available for an additional HK$100.  A selection of dessert items is available to end the meal on a sweet note.  For reservations, please call (852) 2733 8750.
