Roasted Lamb Chops

Ingredients (serves 6 to 8 persons)

  • 1,750g fresh lamb chops
  • 300g shallots
  • 300g ginger
  • 20g pepper
  • 500ml milk
  • 50g barbecue sauce
  • Oil as desired
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Combine the lamb chops, shallot, ginger, pepper and milk together in a pot of water. Boil for 40 minutes.
  2. Drain and cut the lamb chops into a fan shape.
  3. Place the lamb in the oven and roast for 30 minutes at 240°C.
  4. Dress with barbecue sauce and oil.
  5. Roast lamb chop for two more minutes in the oven.

Tips

  • Boil the lamb chop for no more than 40 minutes to avoid overcooking the meat.
  • Turn the lamb chop over when roasting, allowing it to heat evenly.
