Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa Hosts 'Hand in Hand' Ramadan Events

Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa in partnership with Dar Al Atta’a has recently launched a Ramadan programme titled “Hand in Hand”. The month-long programme showcases a series of events and activities that would bring together families and friends in the spirit of Ramadan.

Last weekend, the launch activity dubbed ‘Achievement and Corporate Social Responsibility Day’ was a bazaar and exhibition held at the resort’s Al Mazaar souk. The two-day event was held in partnership with Injaz Oman, a non-profit, non-government organisation driven by Oman's private sector. Through strategic partnerships with Oman's business and education sectors, and with the help of qualified and dedicated volunteers, Injaz delivers educational programmes on entrepreneurial and leadership skills aimed at inspiring and educating future generations.  

The bazaar and exhibition featured 16 creative entrepreneurs and home businesses showcasing their products and services to the public. This initiative has allowed entrepreneurs to interact with the visitors introducing their products and services. All the non-profit organizations are supported and sustained by Injaz Oman. 

 “It is a privilege to partner with Dar Al Atta’a on this month long Ramadan-centered events and initiatives.  This is the first year that we are hosting such activities and we are truly happy with the attendance last weekend. We look forward to more support and participation from visitors in the next two weekends,” said Mark Kirk, General Manager of the resort.  

This week, the featured activity of “Hand in Hand” is the traditional Qaranqasho. Children can look forward to an evening of games, presentations, fun and lots of sweets on 25 July 2013 at the Al Mazaar souk from 7:00 pm. The public is cordially invited to attend this traditional occasion to celebrate with their families and children.
