Welcomed by an appetizing reception of canapés and hors d’oeuvres served in 10 culinary stations, guests begin the exclusive gathering with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The tasteful event’s highlight comes with the presentation of elegant Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Frontignac and Shiraz blends by Grant Burge.
Best known for making consistently smooth, full-flavored wines from extensive vineyard holdings, Grant Burge’s winery in Barossa Valley has won every major medal and trophy in Australia.
“I am a romantic and I have a real sense of my family history, of my father and grandfather, and what they achieved,” said Mr. Burge, who hails from a family with a rich history in winemaking. He is a fifth-generation Barossa vigneron and winemaker.
Mr. Burge serves as chief winemaker of Grant Burge Wines Pty Ltd. and is one of the most respected and innovative forces in the Australian wine industry.
