Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu makes playtime more fun for children this summer with Aquaplay, a brand-new playground located next to the main pool.
The brightly colored Aquaplay is specially designed for very young children to enjoy water activities in a safe environment.
Highlights of the interactive facility include three slides and a rainbow shower. The gently sloping slides provide the thrill of splashing down into shallow water. The rainbow shower is a bow-shaped structure that creates a tunnel effect with soft spray.
There are also strategically placed nozzles that let children create their own water effects.
The Aquaplay blends seamlessly into the expanded children’s pool, which is nearly three times the size of the original pool.
As safety remains the resort’s top priority, lifeguards and designated recreation staff are posted in the area to ensure that all guests have a relaxing, worry-free experience with their families.
Playpoint, which installed the Aquaplay, is a Singapore-based company specializing in playgrounds and urban outdoor space solutions. Over the past decade, Playpoint has completed over 2,000 projects for condominiums, shopping malls, schools, parks and recreational establishments around Asia. It works closely with leading landscape architects in the region to bring well-imagined projects to life.
