Shangri-La Hotel, Baotou Presents d’Arenberg Wine Dinner

Shangri-La Hotel, Baotou presented the d’Arenberg Wine Dinner at its Junior Ballroom on 20 March 2015. Mr. Charles Henri Dumas, brand manager of Kerry Wine, shared the legend of Australian wines. The wine dinner was a chance for guests to explore wine culture and the Shangri-La hospitality.

Shangri-La Hotel, Baotou, together with Kerry Wines, selected several wines from d’Arenberg Winery. Since 1912 the Osborn family have grown grapes and made wine in the picturesque surrounds of McLaren Vale. From entry level to iconic, d’Arenberg wines are hand crafted. The red striped range is considerable with several different wines making use of over 25 varieties including white, red, fortified, sparkling red and dessert wines. Over a thousand show medals and praise from wine scribes the world over attest to their merits.

Selected white and red wines were paired with a five-course dinner prepared by Hotel Executive Chef Elton Chong. The signature dishes were selection of homemade antipasto, fava bean soup with celery chicory, sausage and ciabatta, risotto with mussels and baby lobster in cream, grills lamb loin roasted with pistachio crushed coat with red wine sauce, vanilla scented panna cotta with summer berries and rum baba with pastry cream and caramel pineapple.
